The Advantage of Corrugated Fin Tank type Transformer

Corrugated type transformers are commonly used in substations, power generation plants, and industrial facilities where reliability, efficiency, and space optimization are essential. The corrugated structure helps to increase the surface area of the tank, which in turn increases the amount of oil that can be stored in a given space. This is important because the oil serves as both a coolant and an insulator, so having a larger volume of oil in the tank helps to keep the transformer running at a safe temperature and to prevent electrical breakdown.

Another benefit of the corrugated design is that it helps to prevent the formation of bubbles in the oil. When the transformer is in operation, the oil can become heated and may start to bubble, which can reduce its effectiveness as a coolant and an insulator.
